7-Up Salad is a retro lime jello recipe that makes the perfect sweet holiday side dish or dessert. Cream cheese makes it oh so creamy and cool whip gives it a nice fluff. 7 Up soda and marshmallows work their melting-magic in this classic green dessert. - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3 oz box lime Jello gelatin mix
- 12 oz 7-Up soda
- 15 large marshmallows
- 30 oz fruit cocktail, canned, drained
- 8 oz container cool whip, thawed
- Optional: walnuts, crushed

Soften cream cheese in microwave (about a minute).

Mix softened cream cheese and jello in large bowl.

Add 7-Up and marshmallows to medium saucepan and heat over medium until melted, stirring frequently; Remove from heat.

Slowly pour 7-Up mixture into bowl with cream cheese mixture and stir with whisk.

Mix in drained fruit.

Refrigerate overnight or until set (about 4 hours).

Thaw cool whip overnight in refrigerator. Fold in thawed cool whip before serving. Enjoy!
