The Pink Lady Classic Cocktail is a drink worthy of any cocktail party, especially ladies’ night! Dry gin plays a prominent role in this crisp vintage drink, but fresh lemon juice and grenadine provide a nice balance leaving us with a cocktail that is both a little tart and slightly sweet. The most succulent part of the classic Pink Lady cocktail is its texture (or shall I say her texture?) A shaken egg white yields a nice frothy texture, and when combined with a touch of heavy cream, this Pink Lady transforms into one creamy, luxurious party queen! Aw, she’s blushing.

I first came across this delicious Pink Lady classic cocktail when my husband and I were throwing back a few stiff ones out in San Francisco in celebration of our wedding day. This was after the ceremony, of course! Now that I think of it, we did warm up with one or two pre-ceremonial glasses of champagne, just for good luck ya know (and maybe just to prevent someone from having cold feet?). I can’t recall the exact reason for all the spirits, but raise our spirits it did!
When the swanky bartender served me the classic, rose-hued Pink Lady cocktail, I was amazed at how pretty it was – a dainty vintage glass filled with a foamy soft-pink concoction. The Pink Lady was delicious then, and it is just as delicious now, carrying wonderful memories of our amazing day in San Francisco, California. I will have to share my Napa Valley wine tasting story at a later date. Maybe I’ll save that tale for a recipe that calls for a good Cabernet Sauvignon (or way too much Cabernet Sauvignon in my case).
